Yes. Every Nurban Space product is rigorously tested for safety and durability. Our systems are built to withstand intensive use: they are tested to 20,000 operations, the equivalent of daily use for 48 years. They are also made from high-grade materials and fitted with safeguards against unintended movement or obstructions.

How much space do I save with a Nurban Space system?

Our systems save up to 15 square metres, depending on the configuration. They combine clever design with maximum function, so you can make the most of the space.

Nurban Space offers wall beds, beds with a sofa or desk, fold-away bunk beds, sliding modules, extending tables, fitted cupboards and compact kitchens. With these we combine several living functions within one room.

Which solution suits my space best?

That depends on the floor area available and the functions you want to combine. The product filter lets you select by bed, wardrobe, sofa, table, bookcase, kitchen and TV cabinet, among others. In a personal consultation we help you choose the best configuration.

What is the difference between Nurban Space's own products and Clei?

Nurban Space designs and manufactures its own collection of space-saving and bespoke furniture in Belgium. We are also the official distributor for Clei, an Italian specialist in transforming furniture. Both collections can be combined with one another, and with bespoke work, within a single interior concept.

Are the products suitable for daily use?

Yes. Our wall beds and multifunctional furniture are designed for comfortable, regular use. You sleep on a full-size mattress and can transform the piece easily whenever you need the living space back.

Are the wall beds and their mechanisms safe?

Yes. Safety, stability and ease of use are central to how we develop and select our systems. The products are installed professionally and, depending on the model, come with safety catches and assisting mechanisms for controlled operation.

Can the bed be folded away with bedding and pillows on it?

Accepted Answer

On many models the bedding can stay in place, held by the straps provided. Whether the pillows can stay too depends on the system and its depth. We explain this clearly during the demonstration.

Do the seat cushions have to be removed on a wall bed with a sofa?

On several models with an integrated sofa, the seat and back cushions can stay in place as the bed opens. This varies by version and is stated in the product information.

Does the desk stay horizontal when the bed is opened?

On certain models, such as the Nurdesk, the desk top stays horizontal as the bed opens and closes, so smaller items can usually be left on the desk.

Yes. You can choose from a range of colours, materials, fabrics, handles and layouts. At a showroom appointment you can look at the samples and combine them into an interior that suits your home.

Depending on the configuration you choose, you can gain up to around 15 m² of usable living space. A bedroom might become an office, a living room, a dining space or a playroom during the day.

Can I use my own mattress?

That depends on the system chosen and on the size, thickness and weight of the mattress. We check in advance whether yours is suitable. If need be, we recommend a mattress that suits both daily comfort and correct operation.

Most wall beds must be fixed to a suitable wall or structure according to specific technical requirements. During preparation and the survey we check the room and determine the right fixing method.

Many configurations can be extended with a desk, a sofa, a cupboard or further bespoke work. What is possible depends on the original model, the space available and the technical situation.

Many of our own modules are designed to be dismantled and reassembled. Do contact us before a move, so we can check what is possible for your particular piece and carry out the dismantling and reinstallation properly.

Yes. Our specialist fitters handle delivery and professional installation. The cost depends on the product, the extent of the bespoke work, the location and how accessible the property is.

The price is set by the system chosen, the dimensions, the materials, the finish and any additional fitted cupboards. After a conversation and, where needed, a survey, you receive a transparent quotation drawn up entirely around your project.

Can I see and try the products first?

Yes. On a showroom visit you can open and close the various systems yourself. You can also compare materials and get personal advice on the best solution for your apartment, studio or house.
